Well, after I have watched so many of you have this procedure, and I have been so impressed with the results, I decided to have a facial rejuvenation treatment too!  Medical microneedling is non laser skin resurfacing.  This procedure is truly transformative, as  you will experience skin brightening, improvement in skin tone, and texture as well, after just one treatment.  After a topical anesthetic is applied to the skin, we place the microneedle on the face, and apply the device with a set of 12 tiny needles to the entire face, it does feel a bit like sandpaper is being rubbed on the skin.  If you have a particular area of concern, we are also able to treat certain zones, such as vertical wrinkles around the lips, or crows feet.

After my treatment, \I experienced a mild tingly sensation which lasted a couple of hours, my skin was a little red after the treatment as well.  A regenerative Vitamin A, and Colostrum cocktail was applied to my skin for cellular enhancement as well.  All in all this was a good experience and a wonderful holiday treat!  Be good to yourself, and be good to your skin. Medical microneedling is a procedure that can help restore severely sun damaged skin.  At Lose It Right/Advanced Rejuvenation we utilize special techniques to get you the best possible medically supervised results short of surgery.

The microneedling process incorporates healing of the skin through the creation  of multiple micro injuries that are made with our disposable and sterile needle tips.

In the pictures above this woman is concerned with deep wrinkles.  In the picture labeled session 3 of 6 notice how the skin has significantly less wrinkling, and the depth of the wrinkles is far less.  In addition, note that the skin in sessions 3 of 6 is remarkably more supple, brighter looking, and generally more healthy in appearance.

What are the Benefits?

How is the procedure done?
A sterile needle-tip containing 12 tiny micro-needles is attached to the Micropen. Your skincare professional will apply a thin layer of topical gel to your skin and select the appropriate treatment depth based on your unique needs. Next, in a single motion, the pen will be gently pressed against the skin while simultaneously gliding in one direction until the entire treatment area has been covered.

What does it Feel Like?
The feeling associated with the Micropen is similar to light sandpaper being moved across the skin. While some areas are more sensitive than others, the speed of the reciprocating needle tip reduces discomfort while the applied hydrating gel also makes the treatment more tolerable.

How long does the procedure take?The procedure takes 15-30 minutes depending on the size of the area treated.

What is the downtime?
Immediately after the treatment you will notice a bright redness to the skin.
The total healing time depends on the depth of needles used and the number of overlapping passes your skincare professional performs. On average, patients are red up to 2 to 4 days. Some patients heal completely in as little as 24 hours. Utilizing the Eclipse Skin Revive System^™, or other quality skincare products, provided by your skincare provider, can help to speed up the healing process.

When will I see the results?
Patients notice an immediate “glow” to their skin. Visible changes to the skin develop over the course of several days and weeks. Results continue to improve up to 6 months after the treatment as collagen production continues.

Some patients only require a single treatment, once per year to achieve optimal results. However, it is recommended for most patients to receive a series of 2-3 treatments spaced about 6-8 weeks apart. For patients with deep wrinkles, advanced photo-aging, stretch marks or acne scars it is recommended to receive 6-8 sessions at 6 week intervals.
